Block-A-Day 304 – The Winna-eggo
Today I continue my quest in creating and posting one block a day of the fabulous That Town And Country Quilt by the lovely Susan-Claire Mayfield. This is day three hundred and four of that project.

The Winna-eggo!
That is what Sisu Farmers call the converted motor home, which is the summer home for the laying hens. There are currently two of these structures.
A motor home was gutted and fitted with wire mesh flooring, roosting areas, and nesting boxes.
There is a hen door with a ramp for access, and the farmer enters by the door to collect eggs. At the bottom of the Winna-eggo is a loop of PVC with water nipples for clean, fresh water.
Surrounding the structure is electric fence netting.
Of course, the advantage of a “mobile” home is that the hens are on fresh pasture every day.
