Tina, the owner, usually drives a big logging truck. She’s amazing. I really wanted to include this company in my quilt. I’d like to add here that Farmgirl is also amazing. She has driven big rigs since she was 18.

This quilt block shows a very orange van against a light blue background. The van has light yellow glass including windshield and windows. There are three windows on the side, one on a door and two as the carriage extends further back. There are two wheels below each with the obligatory small light two-holed buttons indicating the axles.

Farmhand #2 decided he was done with diapers at age two just before they left for Colorado on one trip. Farmhand #1 figured out real quick that if #2 needed to go potty Mom and Dad would pull over and everyone could get out.

This quilt block shows a gray background, with a lamp post front a center. The lamp post stands on a dark green cut of smooth grass. The lamp post is ornate and has curls on each side below the glass container that hold orange flower pots. There are little flowers in the pots indicated by single hole gold beads.

It’s been a busy day but we all feel good, a little sunburned and one kid is missing a shoe. Oh well, worse things have happened.

This quilt block shows a large pretty standard tree against a gray background. The tree is very large with billowy cloud like greenery at the top and a fat big trunk below. The trunk is a brown fabric, the grass a green splotchy fabric, and the greenery at the top a dark green with stitches to indicate cloud like bulges.

Where there are typewriters, copy boys, reporters, writers, secretaries and deadlines. Lots of activity and noise. I know that’s not how newsrooms run now that everyone is on a computer and everything is sent electronically. News, however, still happens the same way. Somebody screws up or there is a natural disaster and it’s news.
