This quilt block shows a very orange church building. The steeple of the church building is tall and has a triangular top. Next to it is the long roof of the sanctuary. Both roofs are very dark brown, along with the door. Along the side the of the steeple written in white pen are the word,s "Cathedral" and a bright orange patch of fabric indicating a window. To the right of the rounded door are more bright orange rectangular windows and above them the words "Performance Hall" penned in white. This is all against a blue salmon-patterned background.

The windows were broken and the roof leaked. An arts group that wanted a venue for the performing arts saw potential in this grand old building. They did lots of fundraising and then they managed to get a patron that had very deep pockets. After many hours of volunteer work and some paid structural work, it was ready to shine.

This quilt block is a corner block with a green section of fabric in the bottom right. This piece of fabric has a blanket stitching with equally deep green thread. Coming out of the green section and pointing towards the center is a tree. The trunk is dark brown, and the foliage is a bit cone shaped. It's the same green as the grass, and each piece is outlined in the same green stitching.

It’s grown to be quite a large tree with large branches. I’ve asked to have the branches trimmed twice so that my window can be seen from the street. There is kind of a love/hate relationship with my tree for me. I love how pretty it is and the shade it gives in the summer.

This quilt block shows an orange tent. It's a simple set up tent with two poles holding up a center rail that a blanket is laid over. There are brown steel toed red wings drawn in pen to the right side of the entrance of the tent. There's also a fishing pole above them drawn in. At the entrance of the tent is a camouflage sleeping bag rolled up (with pen markings for the camouflage). Next to the that is a red tacklebox that is drawn in with red pen. And finally to the left next to the orange tent is drawn in a lantern. This is all against a blue salmon-patterned background.
