TAXI - Tina's Fabric Nook

This quilt block shows a green taxi cab with a yellow sign on top that says "TAXI" in black pen. There are two yellow dots next to each side of the word. The taxi itself is more like a little buggy or jeep, and is entirely a deep green. The headlight is a bright yellow. It looks a bit like an old car from history. The wheels are black and round with white stitching on the outer edge and in the middle two ivory colored two-holed buttons indicating the hubcaps.

The driver is a student that does this to help with expenses. He hopes someday to become an airplane mechanic, so he spends down time in the hanger talking to the mechanics and pilots.

Vinnie drives the cab. There hasn’t always been a TAXI in That Town. Vinnie used to live in Trenton, where he drove a cab for 30 years.
