Artwork - Tina's Fabric Nook

This quilt block shows a tall building with arched entryways on the bottom and a large span of vertical windows across the upper part. Above the windows is a sign that reads in blue pen, "Homer Municipal Airport." The windows are a gray fabric, with markings to show they reflect, and stitching showing the pane's edges. The archways below also have stitching. The building itself is a light tan fabric in the same salmon-pattern as the background which is blue.

The last flight I took at Stapleton was when I went to my mother’s funeral in Phoenix. The Pope had been here and the flight to Phoenix was filled with nuns going home. That is not a sight you see every day.
